The deadline for submitting applications for the SPFIE Award for Best Doctoral Thesis of the Portuguese Society for Fracture and Structural Integrity has been extended until January 15, 2026.
The SPFIE Award for Best Doctoral Thesis is an initiative of the Portuguese Association for Fracture and Structural Integrity aimed at recognizing the work of recent PhD graduates in the field of Structural Integrity Engineering or related areas in Portugal. The winner will be selected from the candidates according to the award regulations, as a way to acknowledge the academic merit of Engineering students and to promote Engineering in society.
Applications are open until January 15, 2026, to all students who completed their doctoral theses in 2022 to 2024, by sending the respective thesis in PDF format to associacaoSPFIE@gmail.com.
